Awa bike launched in Poly Nekede- Everything you need to know.

The trending new technological solution is here to stay at federal polytechnic Nekede. Unleashing the powerful Awa Bike.

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, in the person of Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa (FNSE), on Friday, 13th August, 2021, with collaboration with the academic community, launched a new transport cum exercise project termed, Awa Bike, initiated by Prince Amobi.

In this system, the bicycles are operated in a pay-as-you-ride system. A startup 100 smart bicycles capable of communication were made available in the first instance for the project. An interested subscriber is required to download the App to register and then recharge before being able to ride the whole new bicycle.

Awa bike.. with the tagline “Your bike, my bike, AWA bike” was founded by Ifeoluwa Ogundipe, Ibukun Tunde-Oni, and Damilola Olugbemi

Short description about the founder: Ifeoluwa Ogundipe.

I’m Ifeoluwa Ogundipe, I’m a Lawyer by education with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Lagos and a Masters in International Law (LLM) from Queen Mary University London. I also have an MBA from Grenoble Ecole de management with previous work experience in Law, Finance and Private equity.

Awa Bike was first launched in the Lagos State University (LASU) and Redeemer’s University in March 2019. The startup’s biking platform helped ease mobility for students within the campus at very affordable rates.
