Lagos Community experience great panic as gas explodes inside filling station. – Lagos Filling station set ablaze as gas explodes inside it.

There is panic around church bus stop, Alagbole, Lagos state after a great explosion by a gas inside an abandoned filling station in the area on Friday.

The explosion was recorded to have occurred shortly in the mid-day as some people evacuated gas cylinders and other things from the abandoned facility.

The entire place was filled with smoke as residents ran east and west trying to save their loved ones.

Its good news to know that there was no death recorded at the incident. A witness confirmed this to Sahara reporters.

In his words

, “the station was actually an unused gas station. People were ordered to leave the area for safety reasons and so the owners only came today to remove their empty tanks today when gas exploded.

“One of the tanks mistakenly hit an object and because of it’s high inflammability, it caught fire. The fire is still raging inside the big compound while people await fire fighters.”
