The Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adedeji Adeleke is also known as Davido, Baddest, and ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (OBO). OBO in youruba means “Rich mans son” and that is definitely a perfect description of Davido.

Davido was given birth to in Atlanta, Georgia, US, to Mr and Mrs Adedeji Adeleke. Davido’s father is a well know Investor and business man in Nigeria.
Davido lost his mother, Veronica Adeleke at an early stage of life.
Davido was enrolled at the British International School which is located in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. He however, later gained admission to study Business administration in Oakwood University, Huntsville, Alabama.
While studying at Oakwood University, Davido purchased some recording and musical equipment to make music. Davido later dropped out of school and moved to Nigeria in 2011 in pursuit of his music career.
After strong deliberations with his Dad, Davido enrolled at Babcock University, Ogun state and finally graduated in 2015 with a first class degree in music.
Davido was recounted that his Dad has made a promise to his late mother that he will ensure Davido finishes his schooling and that is exactly what he did.

On Oct.30, 2011, Davido released the hit song ‘Dami Duro’. The Dami Duro single was co-produced with Shizzi.
Davido later released the music video for Dami duro, which was directed by Clarence peters.
The song late became a hit song in Nigeria, it was aired inamost every media outlets and radio stations- this was the introduction of Davido to fame.
Davido released his very first album Omo Baba Olowo (Child of a Wealthy Person) in 2012 under HKN Music Record Label.
Omo Baba Olowo had quite fantastic features like Sina Rambo, Ice Prince, Kay Switch, B-Red, 2 Face and Naeto C. as a guest.

Davido is the co-founder of the HKN record label with his brother, Adewale Adeleke. Today, the singer, Davido later left the HKN record label to command his own ship.

The DMW record label now has many top artists on their payroll, including Teli, Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Dremo and others.
