The Man was found guilty of being in opposition to the party’s interest.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled the party’s caretaker chairman of Yola South local government area, Adamawa state, Sulaiman Adamu. The official was seen last month insulting President Muhammadu Buhari at a meeting of a few high profile party stakeholders.
“I do not know why coronavirus did not kill Buhari. If the president is located side by side with Osinbajo i can pick out Osinbajo and leave Buhari,” he lamented in a recorded tape that changed into leaked. The allegations in opposition to Adamu have been investigated by way of a 7-member disciplinary committee set up through the Adamawa state operating Committee. The APC national caretaker committee made it known to the public in a statement on Thursday, September 2, 2021 that the official was found responsible of acting towards the party’s interest, which includes insulting the president.
“He was also found responsible of bringing the image of the party to disrepute thereby creating doubt on his leadership rate and loyalty to the party,” APC spokesperson, John Akpanudoedehe, said.
The party called on members to constantly demonstrate and restraint, and keep away from actions that harm the party’s interest.
