Nekede bans students from riding cars inside school, bans departmental Tshirts

Management of one of the best polytechnics in Nigeria, Federal polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, IMO state has banned students from entering the school with their vehicles. They also ban departmental T-shirts.

This was made known to the public in a memo from the schools registrar this evening,  Friday, 28th January 2022. The memo was further distributed to different departmental platforms by the various departmental publicity.

The management at its emergency meeting held on thursday, 27th January 2022 deliberated on the use of vehicles on campus by students and their flamboyant display of wealth.

After much deliberations, the management decided to ban students from entering the school on their own vehicles. Says, students should park their cars outside the school.

The only people to be seen inside the school with vehicles are members of the staff and school workers. And this should be with their ID cards placed before them. Or a written permission from the registrar with a passport pinned to it.

The school also banned departmental T-shirts as students now use it to fly colors of their various cult groups and this is highy unacceptable in the school.

Head of departments are cautioned to stop distributing departmental wears and to warn their students against outing any form of uniform to school. As they will be held responsible for such actions.
