From today’s reports, not less than 70 traders traveling to kano have been kidnapped along the dreaded Birnin Gwari-Kaduna road. This happened on Wednesday. – Over 70 traders kidnapped by bandits in kaduna.
News reaching us said that the traders were attacked by bandits in the morning and were compelled to enter the bush with them.
An indigene, Malam Umaru told the newsman that the traders were on a convoy with over 20 vehicles and police escort during the time of attack.
From what he said, the bandits attacked at a bend near Udawa after Buruku. And adducted over 70 traders from Umaru’s community and others from neighbouring villages.

He went further to say in his native language that calls forwarded to missing women were answered by bandits which shows that traders are still in captivity.
The police in Kaduna is still yet to react to this. We still await the state government’s reaction to this.
