Dj Neptune, Take down my song or its WAR!! – 21 year old Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema took to the blue bird app to question and threaten DJ Neptune for releasing his old song.
Popular nigerian music star, Rema has called out to DJ Neptune for releasing his song without his permission. This was made known on series of tweets on his official twitter handle. He said DJ Neptune has gone aganist his pleadings not to release the song. Releasing it without his permission.
The music star has demanded an immediate take down of the song not minding the number of enemies he is going to make in the future because of this.
He went further to flag WAR on DJ Neptune if for any reason whatsoever he doesn’t obey his take down order.
In his words: “With all due respect, chief! Dropped my old record without due process? I’m not happy at all. Don’t violate the codes, can’t drop my song without my notice, can’t even remember the last time we spoke big bro, I pleaded with my manager behind the scenes when you all tagged me before it dropped, you still went ahead!”
The music star went ahead to warn DJ Neptune not to ride on his humility, making it crystal clear that he can go to war when it involves his art.
He went futher to state that Don Jazzy might be angry on the step he has taken so he expressed his apology. He finally dropped the statement complaining that this might not actually be there first time his rights were allegedly violated. According to him, he has been cooling it off but this particular act got him very angry.
In his words: “This GAME! Don’t ride on my humility, there are some things I can’t be talked out of and number 1 is my ART, if you’re not ok with it then if it’s war it’s WAR. Don J go vex for me, Baba forgive me but this no join at all.”
“Lastly, TAKE MY SHIT DOWN! I’m going to make new enemies after this, but God big pass INDUSTRY.This game has slapped me too many times on the cheek, I am quiet because I get people interest to protect and a family to feed. Abeg I sabi mind my business but make nobody vex me,” his tweet read.
He went further to state that he didn’t record the song together with DJ Neptune, neither was he paid. He said he didn’t sign any document and the producer didn’t even ask him before releasing the song.
“I am not a disrespectful person, and not the head. Am only a kid vouching for my Art that’s all” he added.
