Who is Zubby Michael?

Zubby Michael is a very popular Nigerian actor , movie superstar and producer, entrepreneur, and politician which you might be wandering “who is zubby michael wife- Zubby Michael Marriage wife and Children”.

He is popularly and widely known for playing the roles of a villain or bad boy in Nollywood movies.

Zubby Michael’s full name is Azubuike Michael Egwu. He was born on the 1st day of February 1985, as the second child of a family of six children. His father was an entrepreneur while his mother was a school teacher. Zubby Michael is currently 37 years old as of the time of this post.

The 37-year-old actor and movie superstar was born and bred in Yola, Adamawa state, though he is originally from Ozubulu, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra state Nigeria.

Zubby Michael obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Mass Communication from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Anambra State. He debuted into acting in the year 2006 at the young age of 21, starring in the television soap operas ‘Coded Hussle and The Generals’.

However, Zubby Michael’s first major movie appearance was in the movie titled ‘Three Widows’. His role as the lead character of the movie gave him much needed and required recognition. His appearance in the 2007 movie, ‘Missing Rib’ alongside Ramsey Nouah shot him to even more prominence.

His production  debut was the movie which was titled ‘1st Hit’ which starred the likes of Ngozi Ezeonu, Nonso Diobi, amongst many others.

Zubby Michael was appointed as the Special Adviser on Media to the Anambra State governor, Governor Willie Obiano, on the 25th day of November, 2019

Since the very launch of his career, Zubby Michael has featured in more than 250 movies, some of which includes Royal Storm (2006), Compound Fools (2015), 1st Hit (2016), The Return (2017), Eze Ndi Ala in America (2018), Yahoo King (2019), Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2021), etc.

Zubby Michael is however, one of Nollywood eligible bachelors. The actor has never been married maybe, except in movies.

Zubby Michael once dated the sister of Paul and Peter Okoye of the defunct P-Square group who is named Mary Jane Okoye, during the early rise of his career as a popular actor.

well, the relationship only lasted for a while before they broke up / parted ways. However, Destiny Etiko has blatantly debunked and invalidated the rumor of her being Zubby Michael’s lover, stating that though she shares a very special bond with the actor, they are not in anyway romantically involved.

Zubby Michael was also alleged of being romantically involved with the young Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.

The rumour of their affair hit the media after Regina shared a picture of herself and Zubby on her official Instagram page.

However, it was later discovered that the Nollywood stars were only posing for the gram and had nothing intimate going on. Zubby Michael and Regina Daniels have reportedly been friends for a very long time and have both featured in several movies together even before Regina got married to her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.

Zubby Michael was once speculated to be the biological father of the very small-sized Nollywood actor, Chikamso Ejiofor popularly known as ‘Ozonigbo’.

The speculation of Zubby Michael being the father of the diminutive actor hit the media and trended like wild fire after Zubby celebrated one of his birthdays in grand style.

However, it was later known that Zubby Michael is not the biological father of Ejiofor, though he has adopted the actor referring to him as his ‘Nollywood son’.
